It’s the perfect time for a bye according to Cable
Posted on November 9, 2010 | No CommentsAfter nine straight weeks without a rest, the Raiders will join Green Bay, New Orleans, and San Diego for the last bye week of the 2010 NFL schedule. In recent years, this off time has come much earlier for the Silver and Black, and some within the organization believe that it sometimes comes too soon. -
Tom Cable and Hue Jackson pleased but not satisfied
Posted on November 5, 2010 | No CommentsAfter each of the last two Raiders wins, Tom Cable has made a point to tell his team, and reporters, that there are plenty of things that still need to be fixed before he's satisfied. With dominating wins by 30-plus points the last two weeks, it's likely that the Raiders' head coach will never quite be satisfied -- unless he's holding the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. -
Raiders make it two dominating victories in a row
Posted on November 1, 2010 | No CommentsThe Oakland Raiders (4-4) came into their Halloween contest against the Seattle Seahawks (4-3) hoping to prevent a letdown after their dominating victory last week over divisional rival Denver. Posted on October 19, 2010 | 2 CommentsPrior to the start of the second half of the Oakland Raiders loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Kyle Boller was seen on the sidelines, wearing his helmet, and warming up with Nick Miller while Jason Campbell stood nearby with his helmet in his hand. Some in the press box were wondering if the Raiders were going to yank Jason Campbell during a game he started for the second time this season, but when play began, Campbell was under center. -
Raiders dealing with agony of defeat
Posted on October 18, 2010 | 1 CommentThe Raiders will need to figure out what it is that prevents them from being a winning organization this week. The rule for getting over wins and losses is 24 hours -- but that is for the players. Raiders fans most likely will take the entire week for this one, and 49ers fans will be sure to extend that sorrow for as long as they can. -
Raiders miss opportunities against 49ers in loss of Battle of the Bay
Posted on October 18, 2010 | 4 CommentsThe Oakland Raiders (2-4) hoped to come into Candlestick Park and get their second straight victory for the first time since the end of 2008, and they began the game like they would get it. Even while leading for most of the game, the Raiders weren't able to find an offensive rhythm after the first quarter, and it led to a 17-9 loss to the San Francisco 49ers (1-5). -
