The Oakland Raiders escaped from what could’ve been a large setback. Their offense sputtered for only 166 total yards, while their defense allowed 409 to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
Unlike in recent years, JaMarcus Russell and the rest of the Raiders offense awoke from their slumber long enough to engineer a nine play, 69-yard scoring drive that culminated with a Darren McFadden touchdown run with only 1:07 on the clock. The touchdown put the Raiders up for good as they went on to win 13-10.
Next up for Oakland is the first place Broncos. The two teams will meet up in the infamous Black Hole in Oakland with first place of the AFC West on the line.
