After the Raiders 17-9 loss to the 49ers, Jason Campbell told Comcast Sports that he suffered through a knee injury for part of the game. He also mentioned that he’d be getting an MRI on Monday.
Today, Tom Cable admitted that Campbell had his MRI and that he has a ‘little bit of a sprain,‘ but that it was nothing serious.
“We’ll see where he’s at,” said Cable of Campbell’s injury being serious. “He’s pretty sore today, umm, so let’s just see where he’s at on Wednesday.”
With Bruce Gradkowski still having trouble with his throwing shoulder and needing a quarterback that can avoid pressure behind a porous line, Cable was also asked if there was scenario that would elevate Kyle Boller from third string to starter. “Oh Absolutely, absolutely.”
If Boller were to start, he’d be the Raiders third different starting quarterback in the last three games — Gradkowski, Campbell, then Boller.
