Cable Monday – Can’t have days like yesterday

Tom Cable spoke with the media Monday, a day after his Raiders lost 31-24 to the Houston Texans in front of the smallest home crowd in over 40 years.

Cable is still not happy with how the Raiders are performing in the trenches and isn’t willing to lay any blame on key injuries as well. With the rule of thumb being 24 hours to get over a loss or beyond a victory, most of Monday was spent trying to figure out what it is they can do to avoid the same performance when San Diego comes rolling in this weekend.

Raiders do enough to win – lose 24-23 in Arizona

The biggest worry for the Oakland Raiders (1-2) coming into their third-week game with the Arizona Cardinals (2-1) wasn’t their special teams. After losing to the Arizona Cardinals Sunday, 24-23, by allowing an opening kickoff return touchdown and three missed field goals, it will be their biggest worry for the coming week. Gradkowski not taking starting gig for granted

Bruce Gradkowski spoke with the media today during the locker room session. Half the media peppered Gradkowski with questions out on the field while the other half went to the locker room for other players. There’s a limited amount of time that the Raiders allow for media access, so the small group was hopeful to maximize what little time there is.
